They knocked it out of the park with “Good Will Hunting,” and now Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have another collaboration on the horizon.
The “Argo” mastermind and the “Elysium” hunk will executive produce a new CBS comedy called “More Time with Family” starring Tom Papa.According to the synopsis, the premise of the show is a man who leaves his life on the road to devote more energy to his wife and kids.
Of his own desire to work less and be home more, Matt told press, "If you can control the celebrity side of celebrity, then it's worth it. I look at [BradPitt] -- and I have for years -- and when I'm with him I see the intensity of that other side of it. I remember telling him that I walk my kids to school, and his face just fell. He was very kind, but he was like, 'You bastard.' Because he should be able to do that, too. And he can't.

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are executive producers on More Time with Family, a new comedy that just landed at CBS with a put-pilot commitment. Starring comedian Tom Papa and written by co-writers Cathy Yuspa and Josh Goldsmith (King of Queens, ‘Til Death), More Time with Family is based on Papa’s stand-up and Damon’s own experiences. As Deadline reports, the story centers on “a guy (Papa) who changes his career and gives up a life on the road to spend more time at home with his family — but when he gets there, he realizes no one asked him to do that.” Affleck’s production company, Pearl Street Films, is venturing further into television territory, with More Time with Family following on the heels of Fox’s crime drama, The Middle Man, the pilot of which Affleck will direct.
